Match Report:

Surbiton Imperial at Barn Elms, Oliver Hogg won the toss and put
them in on the premises that its easier to have attacking fields when
you haven't got a small total behind you, and Surbiton are usually
better late in the season. (And I like bowling with a new
ball and I'm the fucking captain)
However when Hogg came out of the attack having bowled eight overs and
taken 5-10, Surbiton were 33 - 6. Whoops! Haddow replaced Hogg to
give Surbiton some runs, which he did with aplomb, as he struggled with
the constantly shifting lines to left and righthanders. Lawrence
bowled down the hill without ever sorting out his run, he never looked
particularly threatening but the batsmen failed to cash in as they
should. Tagg replaced Haddow and was immediately dealt with similarly
by the lefthanders.
At 90-6 Hogg recalled Flower to the attack and the last four wickets
fell in a heap. The final collapse commenced with an appalling mix
up between Hudson and Percival who had at that time added 57.
Hudson pushed Tagg to extra cover and immediately set off, Percival
remained anchored just outside his crease, letting out a rather pathetic
whisper of: "no Graham," and giving Lawrence the time to fumble the ball
pick it up and lob it to Lilliman who brushed off the bails
without pressure.
Adam Hogg perished early and Price and Mundy scored the necessary runs
for an easy nine wicket win.
Roger's 54 came off 83 balls and Mundy's 27 came off rather more, but
Mike Hendy gave up the ghost when Price was dropped in the first over
and then went on to try eight other bowlers without ever giving his
spearheads the chance to do any real damage.
